Job Description:
Full job descriptionSEN Teacher / HLTA – West Yorkshire£110–£220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting SEN Teachers and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of specialist educational settings throughout West Yorkshire.
We work with SEN schools, SEMH provisions, alternative provisions, PMLD settings, and specialist schools supporting pupils aged 2–19 with a variety of additional needs.
The Role*Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons and interventions
*Support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
*Lead small groups, whole-class sessions, or provide targeted 1:1 support
*Work collaboratively with teaching, therapy and support staff
*Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement
Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or HLTA qualification, or significant relevant experience
*Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
*Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
Desirable*Experience within SEN, SEMH, PMLD or alternative provision settings
*Team Teach training
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
