Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Preferred | Fixed-Term or Long-Term Supply Considered
Are you a passionate Languages Teacher who enjoys inspiring students to communicate confidently in French, Spanish, or German?
Do you want to work in a school where languages are valued and students are encouraged to develop a genuine curiosity about other cultures and the wider world?
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Northampton that is seeking to appoint a dedicated Languages Teacher from September 2026. The school is ideally looking to appoint permanently, although fixed-term and long-term supply arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department where students are encouraged to develop confidence, fluency, and enjoyment in language learning.
The Role*Teach French, Spanish, or German across Key Stages 3 and 4
*Deliver engaging lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
*Promote cultural awareness and enthusiasm for language learning
*Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that support progress for all learners
*Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform next steps
*Contribute to curriculum development within the Languages department
*Support enrichment activities and wider school initiatives where appropriate
What We’re Looking For*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
*Specialism in French, Spanish, or German
*Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for languages and culture
*Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
*Effective classroom management and communication skills
*A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting student success
