Peterborough | Senior Leadership Role
Are you a driven transport leader who thrives on improving performance, challenging the status quo and leading teams through change?
I’m working with a well-established logistics operation looking to appoint a Head of Transport to take ownership of a sizeable fleet and drive the next phase of growth and efficiency.
The Role
This is a key leadership position with full responsibility for a transport function of approximately 50–60 drivers, supported by a planning and supervisory team.
You’ll play a pivotal role in:
*Leading and developing the planning and driver teams
*Driving efficiency, structure and accountability
*Improving communication and alignment across the operation
*Moving the team from reactive to proactive planning
*Challenging existing processes and implementing best practice
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who can lead from the front and deliver real change.
What We’re Looking For
*International CPC (essential)
*Proven experience in a senior transport leadership role
*Strong background managing drivers and planning teams
*Experience improving performance within underutilised or resistant teams
*Confident, resilient leadership style with the ability to challenge and influence
