Full job descriptionThis is an interim Chief Operating Officer job for a mid market B2B services business in Lancashire. The business is in the early stages of a strategic transaction and as such it is an extremely busy time. This role has been created to bring some level of stability in to the organisation while the business explores strategic options.
You will be an experienced executive with significant experience of leading a standalone mid sized, £50 - £500M turnover business in B2B services. You will have experience of stabilising a business through significant organisational change and will have experience of working in a fast paced environment through a complex financial transaction to deliver a significant result for an ownership group.
Ultimately this role requires a low ego, solutions focused individual because though there is a key transaction underway, this role is to support the day to day business through this transition, stabilise functions and bring clarity to a situation with moving parts.
You will have an ability to communicate exceptionally with executive leaders, but equally as well with all levels of staff, customers and suppliers.
This role offers an exceptional day rate based on your experience, but also offers a transaction bonus to incentivise outstanding performance, and ultimately some level of incentive to remain with the business post transaction for a period to ensure a positive handover. Given the circumstances you will also be able to start quickly - ideally immediately but certainly at short notice.
