Full job descriptionIf you’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk role where you can see the impact of your work on real projects- from luxury hotels to care homes and major developments- this is your chance to get involved at the heart of a business that’s transforming the local area. You’ll join a small, professional finance team that supports everything from new hotel launches to large-scale refurbishments, with the opportunity to progress and genuinely influence how things are run. This is a 12-Month-Fixed term Contract with the chance of going perm.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
*Processing and posting supplier invoices with accuracy and speed
*Managing high-volume invoice processing across multiple group companies
*Maintaining up-to-date purchase ledger records and supplier accounts
*Performing supplier statement and bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies
*Resolving supplier queries and liaising with internal stakeholders
*Supporting a group structure of around 80 companies, including hotels, care homes, and construction projects
What you will need:
*Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger or accounts payable role (such as Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable Assistant, or Finance Assistant)
*Experience using Sage 200 (or similar finance systems)
*Confident Excel skills
*Ability to handle high-volume invoice processing and reconciliations
*A methodical, professional approach and the confidence to work independently
