Job Description:
Are you a passionate and resilient leader dedicated to changing the lives of young people? We are searching for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a residential service in the Middlesbrough area.
This role is perfect for a child-centred manager who wants the autonomy to build a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic home environment for vulnerable young people.
The Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will be the heart of the home, taking legal responsibility for its success. Your role will involve:
*Managing the day-to-day running of a small children’s residential home (typically 3–4 beds).
*Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of residential support workers.
*Ensuring the home strictly adheres to Ofsted Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
*Working closely with local authorities, social workers, and families to ensure child-focused care plans.
*Preparing for and leading the home through Ofsted inspections to achieve "Good" or "Outstanding" outcomes.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Criteria):
*Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
*Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential children’s home environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/management role.
*Ofsted Knowledge: Deep understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding protocols, and care regulations.
*Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role to support service needs.
