About the RoleAre you someone who can bring calm to chaos, encouragement to frustration, and confidence to learners who need a fresh start?
A welcoming and inclusive specialist education setting in Heybridge, Essex is looking for a dedicated, patient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their SEN team this September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who may have struggled in mainstream education and now need tailored support, understanding, and consistent encouragement to help them re-engage with learning.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an LSA, you will:
*Support pupils with SEN in lessons, small groups, and 1:1 sessions
*Help learners build confidence, emotional regulation, and independence
*Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to adapt learning activities
*Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
*Encourage engagement and help remove barriers to learning
*Celebrate progress - from small steps to big breakthroughs
What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who:
*Has patience, empathy, and a calm, steady approach
*Can build positive, trusting relationships with young people
*Brings energy, resilience, and a good sense of humour
*Is passionate about helping learners overcome barriers
*Has SEN or education experience (desirable but not essential)
