Key Responsibilities
*Preparation, review and finalisation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
*Supporting year-end close processes, including liaison with external auditors where required
*Managing day-to-day client relationships, responding to accounting and compliance queries in a timely and professional manner
*Working with the team across UK and UAE
*Hands on bookkeeping and reviewing of work and ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards
*Assisting with internal reporting, workflow management, and technology-driven continuous improvement initiatives
*Assisting with UK VAT and Corporate Tax compliance requirements
*Providing guidance and oversight to junior team members where required
Candidate Profile
*Practical accounting experience
*Strong hands-on bookkeeping experience
*Understanding of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
*Exposure to UK GAAP is advantageous
*Experience preparing management accounts and statutory accounts
*Confident using cloud-based accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
*Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
*Practical experience with automation tools and/or AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, reporting, or data handling
*Ability to identify manual or inefficient processes and propose smarter, scalable solutions
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
*Fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong client-facing communication skills
*Experience working with cross-border teams
*Prior experience within private equity investments, commodity markets, or broader financial services is considered an advantage
