Full job descriptionFunctional Skills Tutor - ASD Support (17-Year-Old Student)
Job DetailsThe student has additional needs across communication and interaction, cognition and learning, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH). A supportive and structured approach will be essential to help build engagement, confidence, and progress.
*Location: Eastleigh
*Hours: 8 hours per week
*Start Date: ASAP
*Type: 1:1 Functional Skills Tutoring
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support and help a young person re-engage with learning in a positive and structured environment.
Requirements*Experience working with students with ASD
*Understanding of SEMH needs and learning differences
*Ability to support Functional Skills (English/Maths)
*Patient, flexible, and encouraging approach
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
