Maths TeacherProspero Teaching is working with an independent school in the Reading area to recruit a committed and knowledgeable Maths Teacher (QTS) for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-resourced and supportive school environment with smaller class sizes and a strong focus on tailored learning.
You will be responsible for delivering Maths across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils with a range of learning needs. The role focuses on building confidence, strengthening core numeracy skills, and ensuring pupils make meaningful academic progress through a personalised approach.
This position would suit both experienced teachers and confident ECTs looking to work in a more structured and supportive setting.
The Role:*Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
*Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
*Support pupils to develop numeracy skills and confidence
*Assess work and monitor student progress
*Maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment
*Work collaboratively with support staff and wider teams
*Promote positive behaviour and engagement
*Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
*Experience teaching at secondary level
*Comfortable adapting lessons for a range of learning needs
*Strong classroom management and organisational skills
*Patient, flexible, and supportive teaching style
*Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs
Contract Details:*Position: Maths Teacher (QTS)
*Location: Reading
*Start Date: September
*Working Pattern: Full-time
*Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
*Key Stages: KS3-KS4
*Setting: Independent School
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:*QTS required
*Secondary Maths teaching experience preferred
*Experience in independent or specialist settings beneficial
*Safeguarding training can be provided
