Job Role of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturer based in Southampton. This market-leading business is known for its investment in people, modern production facilities, and commitment to operational excellence.
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance across a range of high-speed production and packaging equipment. Working on a permanent night shift, you will respond to breakdowns, complete planned preventative maintenance, and support continuous improvement projects to maximise plant performance and minimise downtime.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
*Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
*Hands-on experience with planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance.
*Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Essential Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
*Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
*Recognised engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
*Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
*Ability to work independently and effectively on a permanent night shift.
Desirable Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
*Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within the UK.
*Experience fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery using inputs and outputs.
*Exposure to high-speed production, packaging, conveyors, motors, drives, and automated equipment.
