Remote working
£650-675/day overall assignment rate to umbrella
3-month initial contract
Working with a market leading client who have a requirement for a Data Solution Architect to design, lead and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade data platforms.
This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, dimensional data modelling (Kimball) and modern cloud-based data ecosystems (ideally Databricks).
Core Technical Expertise*Strong experience in data solution architecture within enterprise environments
*Proven hands-on expertise in data warehousing concepts and implementation
*Deep knowledge of Kimball dimensional modelling methodology.
Platforms & Tools*Experience with Databricks (preferred) or similar platforms:*Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, or equivalent
*Strong proficiency with:*SQL (advanced level)
*Spark / PySpark
*Data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, ADF, etc.)
Data Modelling*Extensive experience designing:*Fact and dimension tables
*Star and snowflake schemas
*Aggregation layers and semantic models
Data Migration & Mapping*Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale data migration projects
*Strong capability in:*Source-to-target mapping
*Data transformation design
*Data reconciliation and validation techniques
Cloud & Architecture*Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
*Understanding of lakehouse architectures and hybrid data platforms
Desirable
*Experience with medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers)
*Knowledge of data governance tools (e.g., Purview, Collibra)
*Exposure to real-time/streaming data pipelines
*Experience working in Agile delivery environments
