IPS is working with a Global Insurer that’s investing heavily in the growth of its Birmingham office and looking to appoint a Senior Casualty Underwriter to the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the trading side of underwriting and wants to be out in the market building broker relationships, winning new business and growing a portfolio. You’ll have the chance to help shape the proposition’s future direction in the region.

The Role:

• Underwrite a portfolio of mid-market and corporate casualty risks
• Develop and strengthen broker relationships across the market
• Drive profitable new business growth while maintaining underwriting discipline
• Negotiate terms, pricing and coverage across a broad range of casualty risks
• Support the continued growth of the Birmingham casualty offering

We’re keen to speak with casualty underwriters who are commercially minded, enjoy being visible in the market, and are looking for an opportunity to genuinely make an impact. Strong liability underwriting experience is essential, while multinational experience would be beneficial but isn’t a requirement.

The team works from the Birmingham office four days a week and offers a collaborative environment where individuals are encouraged to take ownership, build relationships and contribute to the wider growth strategy.
