We are looking for organised, proactive, and customer-focused individuals to join Cadent as a Dispatch Support Administrator within the Scheduling & Dispatch team.
As a Dispatch Support Administrator, you will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day operational activity across the gas network. Working in a fast-paced, reactive environment, you’ll be responsible for raising and allocating faults, liaising with field engineers and operational teams, and ensuring work is completed within agreed service levels to keep customers safe and connected.

How You’ll Make an Impact
In this role, you’ll support the efficient dispatch and delivery of work across the network. Your responsibilities will include:
*Raising faults and allocating work to engineers in line with operational priorities
*Monitoring and updating work orders using SAP and other internal systems
*Ensuring all jobs are acknowledged, scheduled, and completed within SLA timeframes
*Acting as a key communication link between operations, engineers, and internal teams
*Responding to live, reactive situations and adjusting work allocation accordingly
*Managing high volumes of incoming queries while maintaining a calm and professional approach
*Liaising with engineers to ensure schedules are achievable and resources are used effectively
*Escalating issues where required and supporting resolution in a timely manner
*Ensuring all data is recorded accurately and maintained to a high standard (’right first time’)
*Supporting team performance through adherence to processes, procedures, and safety standards
How We’ll Know You’re the Right Fit
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, reactive environment and can balance multiple priorities effectively. You’ll ideally demonstrate:
*Strong administrative experience in a busy, operational or customer-focused environment
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with multiple stakeholders
*Ability to multitask, prioritise, and adapt quickly to changing demands
*Experience working with systems such as SAP (or similar), or a willingness to learn
*Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
*A calm and professional approach under pressure
*Good problem-solving skills and logical thinking
*Competence with Microsoft Office applications
*A proactive and flexible attitude
*A strong awareness of safety, supporting Cadent’s commitment to keeping people and communities safe
Experience in scheduling, dispatch, or coordinating field-based teams would be highly beneficial but not essential.
How It All Comes Together
*Pay rate: £13.53 per hour, PAYE, paid weekly one week in arrears
*Assignment duration: 12-month temporary role via Reed
*Start date: 29th June
*Location: Cadent, Pilot Way, Ansty Park, Coventry, West Midlands, CV7 9JU
*Working pattern: Hybrid – after training
How Your Shifts Will Look
*Monday to Friday
*37 hours per week
*8:00am – 4:00pm
Training & Working Pattern
*Initial 2 weeks training onsite
*Thereafter, hybrid working:
*1 day per week in the office (Wednesdays)
*Attendance required for monthly team meetings onsite
