Our client is a well-established professional services firm with a strong reputation in payroll outsourcing and advisory. With a specialist payroll services team supporting a diverse client base, the firm is known for handling complex, high-volume payroll environments across multiple sectors.
This opportunity sits within a dedicated hospitality-focused team, supporting clients with dynamic and often intricate payroll requirements. The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end payroll delivery for a portfolio of larger, more complex accounts, often involving multi-site operations, variable pay structures, and high workforce turnover.
This is a client-facing role suited to an experienced payroll professional who is confident managing relationships, interpreting technical requirements, and delivering accurate, compliant payroll solutions. The position offers meaningful autonomy, direct exposure to senior stakeholders, and clear opportunities for progression within a collaborative and well-regarded team.

About the role
*Take full ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles for a portfolio of hospitality clients
*Manage complex pay arrangements including tronc, National Minimum Wage compliance, salary sacrifice, shift-based pay, and variable earnings
*Process high volumes of starters and leavers across casual, seasonal, zero-hours, and agency workforces
*Handle time and attendance data, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in payroll inputs
*Oversee RTI submissions, HMRC correspondence, pension auto-enrolment, and statutory payments
*Support multi-site and multi-entity payroll structures, each with distinct rules and requirements

About you
*Proven payroll experience, ideally within a bureau or client-facing environment
*Demonstrable experience managing complex payrolls, including variable pay structures; hospitality experience is advantageous
*Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation including RTI, statutory payments, auto-enrolment, and Working Time Regulations
*Familiarity with payroll systems such as IRIS Payroll Professional (or similar) and strong Excel capability
*Confident communicator with the ability to manage client relationships independently
*Detail-oriented, organised, and able to operate effectively in a high-volume environment
*CIPP qualification or equivalent is beneficial but not essential
