We are working with a well-established, all-through school that educates students from early years through to post-16. The school has a long-standing history and combines traditional values with modern approaches to learning, maintaining high expectations for both staff and students.
The school benefits from small class sizes and a close-knit community, allowing staff to make a meaningful impact. There is a strong academic ethos alongside a commitment to providing a rich experience in the arts and sport.
We are seeking to appoint a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to supervise lessons in the absence of teaching staff. The successful candidate will deliver pre-prepared work, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure pupils remain engaged in their learning.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching or education, or for those with experience working with young people. We offer a supportive and collaborative working environment with opportunities for development and progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes during teacher absence
* Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students to stay on task and complete their work
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Is confident leading a classroom environment
* Has good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Is adaptable, proactive, and resilient
* Has experience working with children or young people
