We are working with a welcoming primary school in Barnet seeking to appoint an SEN Teacher from September 2026. This role involves supporting small groups of up to 10 pupils across mixed ages, providing targeted interventions and personalised support to meet individual learning needs.
Responsibilities of this SEN Teacher role:
*Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching to small groups of pupils with Special Educational Needs, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
*Stay up to date with the latest SEN research, legislation, and best practice through training, workshops, and professional reading, implementing strategies across the school.
*Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture, modelling excellent practice and supporting colleagues with SEN provision.
*Monitor pupil progress closely, using assessment data to identify needs, track progress, and plan personalised interventions that close learning gaps.
*Collaborate with class teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure individual pupils receive consistent and effective support.
The Ideal Candidate for this SEN Teacher role will:
*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Have experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEN across the primary phase (EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2)
*Be committed to delivering engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons for small, mixed-age groups
*Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
*Be a reflective, proactive team player with a positive attitude towards continuous improvement
