If you’re an Insurance Litigation Solicitor with 2–5 years’ PQE, this is a great opportunity to join a growing Belfast-based defence insurance team working on a varied caseload of personal injury and complex liability claims.

The role
As a Defence Insurance Associate in Belfast, you’ll handle a broad mix of personal injury litigation matters, acting primarily for insurers and self-insured organisations.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Managing and assisting on motor, employer’s liability, public liability and disease claims
*Running your own caseload while supporting senior lawyers on more complex disputes
*Drafting pleadings, reports and detailed client advice
*Investigating claims, including liaising with policyholders and taking witness statements
*Reviewing and interpreting medical evidence and expert reports
*Attending court hearings, case reviews and pre-trial meetings
*Ensuring compliance with client SLAs, reporting standards and reserving requirements
*Maintaining accurate file management and correspondence
*Building trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders
*Supporting business development and wider team initiatives
About you
This role would suit an Insurance Litigation/Personal Injury Solicitor who:
*Has 2–5 years’ PQE (guideline level, flexibility for the right candidate)
*Brings experience in personal injury litigation (defence experience beneficial but not essential)
*Is comfortable managing files within a fast-paced environment
*Demonstrates strong drafting and analytical skills
*Has an interest in advocacy and court work
*Understands client service delivery, including SLAs and reporting standards
*Takes a proactive, solutions-focused approach
*Communicates effectively with clients and colleagues
*Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and driven team
