Morgan Hunt are delighted to support a public sector organisation in Edinburgh as they look to welcome a new Senior Procurement Officer to their team.







Main Responsibilities:

*Lead and support a range of procurement activities from planning and sourcing through to contract award and supplier management.
*Provide professional procurement guidance to colleagues, supporting the development of requirements, specifications, performance measures, and sustainable procurement approaches.
*Identify and utilise the most appropriate procurement routes and frameworks to achieve value for money and organisational objectives.
*Manage tender processes, including preparing documentation, coordinating evaluations, and supporting contract negotiations.
*Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver high-quality goods, services, and works.
*Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify opportunities, encourage competition, and improve procurement outcomes.
*Ensure procurement activities are carried out in line with relevant legislation, policies, and governance requirements, while managing associated risks.
*Maintain accurate records, produce procurement reports, and support audit and assurance activities as required.
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of procurement knowledge and best practice across the organisation.



Main Responsibilities:

*Must have public sector procurement experience
*Have a strong understanding of framework agreements
*Varied category background would be beneficial but not essential
