Position: Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Resource Provision - 5 roles available
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Permenant Salary: NJC Grade B1 - B3, Scale Points 4 - 11 (Actual Salary Range: £19,794 - £22,118, pro rata)
Daily rate: £95-£110 per day
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Term Time Only: 34.5 Hours Per Week
Start Date: September 2026
About the Role:

A newly developed Specialist Resource Provision in a Bradford primary school setting is seeking five dedicated and motivated Learning Support Assistants to join their team. The provision supports up to 24 children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. The role involves working under the direction of teaching staff to deliver high-quality, personalised support that enables pupils to access learning, develop independence, and make progress.The school is open to considering applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including educational, care and health settings. About the School:

This school gives a warm welcome to all pupils. Pupils originate from at least 16 different ethnic groups. Pupils speak 47 different languages. Pupils exemplify the school’s commitment to inclusion. They respect each other’s viewpoints and value all religions equally. Pupils recognise the importance of treating everyone fairly, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or religion. The Resource Provision has been newly developed on site to support pupils in school but will also be taking new pupils from around the Bradford area with a variety of special educational needs. The provision has been specifically designed and resourced with the needs of these pupils in mind. The setting will be split into three classrooms with calming decor, plenty of space, access to the outdoors and resources tailored to meet the individual needs of the learners in the setting.

Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver structured learning activities and interventions as directed by teaching staff
*Support pupils’ communication and sensory needs
*Promote positive behaviour and contribute to assessment and planning
*Attend to pupils’ personal care needs and use specialist equipment safely
*Maintain high standards of dignity and safeguarding at all times

Person Specification:
*Good standard of English and Maths (GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent)
*Experience working with children or young people in educational, childcare, or community settings
*Awareness of a range of SEN and their impact on learning, behaviour, and communication
*Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent when supporting pupils with emotional or behavioural challenges
