Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (12-weeks)
Salary: £100 - £110 per day (dependent on full-time experience)
Working hours: 08:30 - 15:30
Brief description:Prospero Teaching are working with an outstanding secondary school for girls in Tower Hamlets who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. About the role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students across a range of subjects, working closely with class teachers and the SEN department. The role will involve both classroom-based support and working with students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
We’re looking for a dedicated candidate to:*Provide general classroom support across KS3 - KS5
*Support students with additional learning needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Assist the class teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
*Help prepare learning resources and classroom materials
*Support students with personal care where required (including intimate care)
*Promote inclusion and encourage student engagement and confidence
Requirements -*Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable)
*A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting learning
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
The ideal candidate would have:*Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
*Experience supporting students with SEND
*Confidence in carrying out general TA duties
*Experience or willingness to support with intimate care needs
*A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach
