Warrington (Penketh) - September Start
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in the Penketh area of Warrington to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with Key Stage 2 experience who can confidently support pupils across the curriculum, including those who may require additional help with their learning or have SEND needs.
We are looking for individuals who:
• Have experience working within a primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 2
• Hold a relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (desirable)
• Have a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Are confident supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Can build strong relationships with pupils and encourage engagement
• Are dependable, proactive, and flexible in their approach
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to obtain one
Key responsibilities:
• Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom
• Leading small group interventions in subjects such as English and Maths
• Providing additional support for pupils with SEND
• Assisting the class teacher with preparation of resources and classroom organisation
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ wellbeing
• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
