Position Details:
*Location: Maghull, L31
*Type: Long Term
*Start Date: September 2026
*Contract Type: Temporary
*Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
*Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
*Pay: Competitive, paid to scale
Responsibilities:
*Teaching and Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons tailored to different ability levels. Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
*Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum in alignment with national standards. Integrate real-world applications of mathematics to enhance student understanding.
*Student Assessment: Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their mathematical skills. Maintain accurate records of student performance and track their progress over time.
*Classroom Management: Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to create a positive learning environment. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure all students remain focused and on task.
*Student Support: Encourage and challenge advanced students to reach their full potential.
*Communication: Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
*Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*Previous experience in a UK school
*Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as some training will be provided)
Eligibility Requirements:
*Right to Work in the UK
*Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)
*Provide at least two professional references/cover the last 2 years in full/cover at least 24 months worked
