Hours: 42.5 hours per week (8–5 Monday–Friday)
About the role:
We’re on the lookout for a skilled and reliable Multi Skilled Operative to join our team in Dover, supporting a busy social housing contract.
This is a hands-on role focused on delivering high-quality external repairs and maintenance, helping to ensure properties and outdoor spaces are safe, secure, and well maintained. The work will primarily cover fencing, groundwork, roofing repairs, and gutter cleaning, with a variety of tasks across different properties.
You’ll be working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The role requires someone who can adapt to different types of external works, troubleshoot issues on site, and take pride in delivering a high standard of work first time. Providing a professional service and maintaining a positive approach when working around residents will be key.

Duties:
*Carry out external repairs and maintenance across social housing properties
*Install, repair, and maintain fencing and gates
*Complete groundwork tasks including concreting, slab laying, and minor drainage works
*Undertake basic roofing repairs such as tile replacement and minor patch works
*Clean, clear, and repair gutters and downpipes
*Identify and report any structural or safety concerns on site
*Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
*Work across occupied and void properties with professionalism and respect for residents
*Deliver excellent customer service at all times
*Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes
*Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
*Manage daily workload effectively to meet service targets
*Participate in out-of-hours emergency repairs where required
Key Criteria:
*Proven experience in external repairs and maintenance, including fencing, groundwork, basic roofing, and guttering
*Full UK driving licence
*Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively across multiple sites
*Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, particularly in outdoor environments
*Excellent customer service skills when working around residents and in communities
*Good understanding of health and safety regulations, including working at height and safe outdoor working practices
*Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record works
*Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota
