About the RoleVeritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and high-achieving secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a strong English department and inspire students through the delivery of a broad and engaging curriculum, aligned with Department for Education standards.
Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
*Teach both Language and Literature, fostering a love for reading and writing
*Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
*Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
*Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
*Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
*Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome)
*Demonstrates strong communication and classroom management skills
*Is committed to safeguarding and improving outcomes for all students
