Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Fleetwood. This rewarding role will involve supporting children across Nursery and Reception as they begin their educational journey and settle into school life.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping new learners develop confidence, independence and positive relationships within the classroom environment. Many children will require additional support as they transition into school, including those who are not yet considered "school ready" and those with additional educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support children across Nursery and Reception with their learning and development.
*Assist pupils as they settle into routines, expectations and daily school life.
*Provide targeted support for children who require additional help with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and early learning skills.
*Work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
*Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation in classroom activities.
*Assist with personal care routines where required, ensuring pupils are supported with dignity and respect.
*Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all children.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience working with Early Years children, either within a school, nursery or childcare setting.
*A patient, caring and supportive approach.
*An understanding of child development and the challenges some children face when starting school.
*Experience supporting children with additional needs would be advantageous.
*A willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
