Full job descriptionOur Client, Stockport Council, is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their MASH Team.
This is a Hybrid Working Role!

Responsibilities of this role:
*Screen and triage incoming safeguarding referrals to assess risk and appropriate thresholds.
*Gather and analyse information from multi-agency partners (police, health, education).
*Make timely decisions on appropriate interventions (e.g., early help, Section 17, Section 47).
*Undertake rapid safeguarding checks to identify immediate risk of harm.
*Provide clear recommendations and ensure swift progression of cases to relevant teams.
*Liaise effectively with partner agencies to ensure coordinated safeguarding responses.
*Maintain accurate, concise records and decision-making rationale.
*Apply relevant legislation, thresholds, and safeguarding procedures.
*Ensure the child’s safety and best interests are central to all decisions.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working as a social worker
