We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist educational setting in Rutland for a dedicated SEMH Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and rewarding school environment.
The RoleAs an SEMH Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences. You will help create a calm, positive, and structured environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities
Manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively
Build strong relationships with students and staff
Support students with SEMH needs to engage in learning
Encourage confidence, independence, and personal development
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, care, youth work, or support settings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence managing groups of students
Patience, empathy, and resilience
A proactive and adaptable approach to challenges
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
