Pay: £14.25 per hour
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Bispham to recruit a Specialist Support Assistant to start in September.
This role involves supporting a Year 3 pupil group with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, where challenging behaviour is present. The school is looking for a resilient, empathetic, and proactive individual who can build positive relationships and provide consistent support.
The Role:*Provide 1:1 and small group support within a Year 3 classroom
*Support pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges
*Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
*Encourage emotional regulation, engagement, and positive learning behaviours
*Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:*Have experience working with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour
*Be calm, patient, and confident managing behaviours positively
*Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
*Be adaptable and able to respond to changing classroom needs
*Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s development
*Previous school or support work experience is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
