Reed Education Cheltenham is delighted to be recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a warm, welcoming, and high-quality nursery setting located in Cheltenham town centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional looking to step into a leadership role. Strong Room Leaders ready for career progression are actively encouraged to apply.
About the Role – Deputy Manager Cheltenham
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safeguarding are consistently delivered.
You will play a key role in leading the team, inspiring best practice, and creating a positive, nurturing environment where both children and staff can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the Nursery Manager with daily operations and leadership
*Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of Early Years Practitioners
*Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum to a high standard
*Act as a role model of outstanding practice within the setting
*Assist with staff development, coaching, and mentoring
*Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance are always met
*Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community
*Step into the Manager role when required
What We’re Looking For
*Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Early Years / Childcare or working towards one.
*Strong experience within an EYFS nursery setting
*Proven leadership potential or experience (Room Leaders welcome)
*Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities
*A proactive, organised, and positive approach
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*A genuine passion for leading teams and supporting children’s development
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
