Full job descriptionInterior Design Assistant / Project PA (Freelance – Residential Project)
We are looking for a highly organised and design-focused Interior Design Assistant / Project PA to support the delivery of a luxury residential interior design project. This is a freelance short-term role with the potential for ongoing collaboration on future projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for interiors, excellent organisational skills, and experience supporting residential design projects from sourcing through to installation.


Key Responsibilities
* Source materials, finishes, fabrics, and soft furnishings in line with the project’s design direction and colour schemes
* Coordinate and present samples, mood boards, and material options
* Assist with joinery design details, finishes, and technical drawings
* Liaise with suppliers, contractors, workshops, and trades
* Place and manage orders, track deliveries, and maintain procurement schedules
* Monitor project timelines and ensure contractor and supplier deadlines are met
* Organise and maintain FF&E schedules, specifications, and project documentation
* Support with site visits, installations, and project coordination
* Assist with general project administration and day-to-day design support


Requirements
* Previous experience within residential interior design is essential
* Strong knowledge of soft furnishings, finishes, materials, and joinery
* Ability to read and assist with technical drawings and specifications
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicating with suppliers, contractors, and clients
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and design software preferred
* Experience with procurement and supplier coordination beneficial
* Full driving licence preferred
