A high-performing comprehensive secondary school in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of History to join their successful Humanities team.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, inspiring students and driving excellent progress.
The department has a strong track record of results and places a real emphasis on modern, relevant and thought-provoking History teaching that builds students’ critical thinking and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3–KS5
*Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
*Create a stimulating classroom environment with high expectations
*Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities faculty
*Support wider school life, including tutoring and enrichment activities
*Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
About the Department
*High-performing and innovative Humanities team
*Curriculum includes IB MYP, GCSE (AQA) and IB Diploma
*Strong focus on modern history, diversity and critical thinking
*Topics range from Ancient Civilisations to Post-War Britain
*Emphasis on developing analytical skills in a "fake news" era
