Full job descriptionProtocol Education supports secondary schools across Somerset and the surrounding areas, including Yeovil, Shepton Mallet, Street, Glastonbury, Frome, Bruton, Wincanton, Wells and Somerton.
We’re looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors and Unqualified Teachers to support local secondary schools with both planned and unexpected staff absences. No teaching qualification is required. If you’ve got confidence, strong communication skills and enjoy working with young people, we’ll provide the training to help you get started.

Because schools are spread across a wider geographical area, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
What you’ll be doingAs a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into secondary school classrooms when teachers are absent and help keep learning on track. You’ll:

Essential Requirements Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Valid passport
Two proofs of address (e.g. driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement)
CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
References covering the last 2 years
Overseas Police Check (if you’ve lived abroad for 3 months or more during the last 5 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
