Location: Bexley
Position: School Business Manager
Type of work: School Business Management / Finance and Operations
Contract or position start date: September 26 / ASAP
Contract type - Permanent
Full time/part time Full Time
Minimum rate of pay Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours 8:00am 4:00pm (may vary), plus attendance at relevant school meetings where required

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant qualification in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, School Business Management, or equivalent
Previous experience working as a School Business Manager, Finance Manager, or similar leadership role
Experience managing budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, procurement, and compliance
Experience within an educational setting is desirable
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key member of the School team and an associate member of the Leadership Team, the School Business Manager must work with the Governors, Head Teacher and other members of the leadership team to:
· establish high quality education by effectively managing teaching and learning and using personalised learning to realise the potential of all students
· establish a culture that promotes excellence, equality and high expectations of all students.
· provide vision, leadership and direction for the school and ensure that it is managed and organised to meet its aims and targets
· evaluate the schools performance and to identify the priorities for continuous improvement and raising standards
· ensure equality of opportunity for all
· develop policies and practices
· ensure that resources are efficiently and effectively used to achieve the schools aims and objectives
· secure the commitment of the wider community to the school by developing and maintaining effective partnerships
· create a productive learning environment which is engaging and fulfilling for all students.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional references covering the last two years
