Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Accrington, Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual looking to gain valuable school-based experience, with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your role will involve both classroom support and working on a one-to-one or small group basis to help students reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supporting students with their learning across a range of subjects
*Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
*Providing targeted support to pupils with varying abilities
*Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
*Supporting students with additional needs where required
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
*Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
*Has experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting
*Is patient, resilient and passionate about supporting education
*Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Is able to build positive relationships with students and staff
