We’re recruiting for a Depot Manager to join a well-established equipment and materials handling business in Cranleigh,Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take ownership of a busy depot, overseeing people, processes, fleet management, and customer service while driving performance across the site.

Key Responsibilities:As Depot Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the depot by:
*Overseeing daily depot operations and workflow
*Managing forklift fleet availability, servicing, and maintenance schedules
*Supervising workshop, service, and depot teams
*Planning and allocating resources to meet operational demands
*Tracking performance, costs, and productivity targets
*Maintaining accurate operational, maintenance, and inventory records
*Working closely with sales, service, and logistics teams
*Recruiting, training, and developing staff
*Driving continuous improvement in efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction
What we’re looking for:We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
*Experience within the forklift, plant, HGV, or powered access sectors
*A strong background as a manager within a depot, workshop, or operational environment
*Previous experience in a leadership role such as a service manager or similar
*A focus on customer service, safety, and operational excellence
*The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
