Key Responsibilities
As a Gardener, you’ll help maintain exceptional outdoor spaces by:
*Carrying out seasonal maintenance across the hotel’s landscaped grounds, including the terraced area, rose garden, sunken garden, cottage garden, croquet lawn, lake, woodland, lawns and wildflower meadow
*Maintaining the polo centre and staff accommodation grounds
*Completing grass cutting and turf maintenance
*Carrying out hedge cutting and general grounds upkeep
*Operating garden machinery including mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers
*Taking ownership of designated areas within the estate
*Following all health and safety, fire and security procedures
*Keeping required certificates up to date
*Supporting additional duties when required to meet operational needs
What we’re looking for
The ideal Gardener will have:
*Previous experience in horticulture or professional grounds maintenance
*Practical experience using a range of garden machinery safely
*A passion for maintaining high-quality outdoor environments
*A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
*The flexibility to adjust working hours when required to support the business
*A good understanding of health and safety practices
