Full job descriptionAdele Carr Recruitment - Interim Accountant
Location: Birkenhead
You will be working closely with the Finance lead and supporting the Finance team, you will take responsibility for key month-end activities, improve processes, and provide additional support across the finance function.
Preference would be someone available full time in the office, although candidates available 3-4 days per week will be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supporting month-end close activities
*Posting journals and ensuring accurate financial records
*Managing banking processes and reconciliations
*Supporting cash flow reporting and forecasting
*Processing monthly payroll for approximately 120 salaried employees
*Managing payroll adjustments including overtime, bonuses and other changes
*Reviewing and improving existing finance processes
*Supporting the team with system improvements and automation
About you:
*SME finance/accounting background is essential
*Previous experience working in a similar role
*Confident managing month-end processes independently
*Good payroll knowledge and experience in SAGE Payroll
*Strong working knowledge of SAGE is required
