A leading NHS Trust in London is seeking an Electrician to join its Estates & Facilities team, supporting a diverse healthcare estate across multiple sites.
The Role
You will deliver a broad range of planned, reactive, and minor works, ensuring electrical systems and infrastructure are maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out maintenance, fault finding, and installation across electrical plant and building services
*Work on systems including fire alarms, nurse call, CCTV, access control, lighting & power distribution
*Ensure compliance with HTMs, statutory regulations, and NHS standards
*Act as a Competent Person for LV systems where required
*Use CAFM/mobile systems to manage and close work orders within SLAs
*Participate in on-call rota (24/7 cover) and emergency response
*Support contractor management and ensure adherence to safety procedures
*Undertake testing, inspections, and planned preventative maintenance
Requirements
*Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent
*NVQ Level 2 or 3 / City & Guilds
*18th Edition (BS7671) essential
*Strong experience in commercial or healthcare environments
*Experience working on LV systems, alarms, and building services plant
*Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, reactive environment
*Good communication skills and strong problem-solving ability
*Full UK driving licence desirable

*Electrical inspection & testing (2391 or equivalent)
