Our client is a specialist manufacturer. Due to growth, they are looking to recruit a Production Manager.
The Role
*You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production process ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, on time and within budget.
*Duties to include planning production schedules, managing resources (personnel, materials, equipment) and maintaining quality standards.
*You will also work to improve processes, reduce costs and ensure safety.
*Is day shift managing a team of 45.
*You will lead your team and area to successfully deliver your KPI’s and drive business performance.
*Coach, develop and lead staff and establish a continuous improvement culture.
*Take full responsibility for the day to day running of a department on shift, ensuring the Health and Safety of all colleagues whilst maintaining and making improvements in all areas.
*Monitor and communicate the site plan, performance KPI’s and targets ensuring that all colleagues are striving to achieve the same goal.
The Person
*Will ideally be degree qualified in a related field.
*Previous engineering or manufacturing experience preferred.
*You will have good leadership/team management experience.
*Will have good planning skills.
*You will be IT literate with good analytical skills.
*Will have the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
