Teaching AssistantProspero Teaching is recruiting a motivated and supportive Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in schools across the Winchester area. This role involves supporting teachers in the classroom and helping pupils stay engaged, confident, and focused throughout the school day.
You will provide a combination of 1:1 support and small-group assistance, helping pupils who may need additional guidance with their learning, behaviour, or confidence. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain valuable experience in education.
The Role:*Support teaching and learning within the classroom
*Provide 1:1 support and assist with small-group work
*Help pupils stay engaged, focused, and confident
*Assist with classroom activities, lessons, and resources
*Support behaviour and encourage positive routines
*Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Contribute to a calm and inclusive learning environment
*Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:*Experience working with children or young people
*Patient, supportive, and confident in a classroom environment
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Adaptable and able to respond to varying needs
*Reliable and proactive approach
*Backgrounds in childcare, youth work, coaching, or education welcomed
*Graduates seeking school experience encouraged to apply
Contract Details:*Position: Teaching Assistant
*Location: Winchester
*Start Date: ASAP
*Working Pattern: Full-time, term-time
*Pay Rate:£14.25 - £15.66 per hour
*Key Stages: Primary / Secondary
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:*Experience working with children desirable
*SEN experience beneficial but not essential
*Safeguarding training can be provided
