We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong practitioner ready to take the next step in their career, supporting the Nursery Manager in leading a high-quality early years setting.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting
*Ensure a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children
*Lead by example in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences
*Plan and implement engaging activities to support children’s development across all areas
*Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained
*Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and external professionals
*Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
*Support with staff supervision, mentoring, and team development
*Step in to lead the nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager
*Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, hygiene, and transitions
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*CACHE Level 3 (minimum) in Childcare and Education
*Proven experience as a Senior Practitioner, Room Leader, or Deputy Manager
*Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
*Understanding of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and compliance
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
*Ability to support, motivate, and develop a team
*Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
