Full job descriptionEquifind are representing a boutique FMCG firm based in Welwyn Garden City who are looking to hire a Bookkeeper.


You will be directly reporting into the Owner and carrying-out the financial management of the company.


Key responsibilities include:
*Manage day-to-day bookkeeping (Excel) and multi-currency bank account reconciliation
*Oversee accounts payable (liaising with suppliers and our workshops), and sales invoices
*Prepare cash flow statements, monthly profit and loss statements, and other reports as requested
*Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and management reports
*Maintain accounting records including invoices, expenses, payments, and petty cash
*Maintain compliance with standard legal, financial and data protection practise
*Manage export documentation and import documentation
*Manage Pension scheme


Application criteria:
*Professional qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent, or part-qualified with relevant experience)
*Experience in the FMCG industry helpful but not required.
*Excellent Excel and data entry skills
*Knowledge of VAT Margin Scheme and VAT import and export regulations an asset
*Experience with both UK financial compliance
*Ideally experienced with ’Microsoft Navision’ system


Compensation:
The Bookkeeper working for this FMCG company based in Welwyn Garden City, will be paid a competitive market-based salary.
*Annual performance related bonus (discretionary).
