Transport is a key part of the operation, with a multi-site distribution model and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and operational consistency
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Transport Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of transport operations across a National Distribution Centre and associated UK transit sites.

*Monitoring transport performance, including OTIF, cost, and route efficiency
*Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
*Supporting the resolution of delivery issues and working closely with customer service teams
This role requires a hands-on approach, with visibility across both operational delivery and longer-term transport improvement initiatives.
The Person:
This role will suit an experienced Transport Manager or Transport Supervisor ready to step up, with a background in multi-drop distribution environments.
Key requirements include:
*Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements
*Experience managing transport operations within a fast-paced distribution environment
*Proven ability to lead and develop teams across multiple sites

*Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
*A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
*Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with drivers, planners and internal stakeholders
*A Transport Manager CPC is desirable.
*Candidates should be comfortable operating in a busy, evolving environment and able to balance day-to-day operational demands with a focus on continuous improvement and team development
