Year 6 Teaching Assistant Required

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Kidderminster. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils during a key stage of their education as they prepare for SATs and their transition to secondary school.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will play a vital role in helping pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their full potential in a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning activities.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them to make excellent progress.
Assist with interventions in English and Maths to help prepare pupils for Year 6 assessments.
Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning space.
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
Has previous experience working in a primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2.
Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Is confident supporting pupils with a range of learning abilities.
Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
Is patient, proactive, and passionate about helping children succeed.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
