*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (2 - 3 months with the possibility of extension)
Manchester City Council are looking for a Response and Installation Officer to join the Community Alarm team. This role is crucial in supporting individuals to remain safe and independent in their homes by monitoring and responding to health and safety alerts. The position requires working on a rota basis, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Monitor and respond to activation alerts from customer’s equipment within agreed service guidelines and targets.
*Communicate efficiently and courteously with customers to assess their needs and respond appropriately to problems using initiative and creative skills.
*Install, maintain, and collect approved equipment within customers’ homes, ensuring high standards are met.
*Work collaboratively with customers, their families or nominated contacts, colleagues, stakeholders, health, and emergency services staff to enhance safety and service delivery.
*Maintain efficient monitoring and administration of computer systems, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and confidentiality of data.
*Facilitate customer feedback and assist in identifying solutions to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
*Actively promote the service through attendance and contributions to meetings, forums, and promotional events.
*You will be working in a two person team, that will be visiting vulnerable adults in their property, to ensure that they are ok if they press there pendant in case of an emergency. You would ensure that the service user is ok, and report back to the office and re-set the machine or contact the ambulance straight away and wait there with them until they arrived and also contact the office to inform them of what has happened.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service.
*Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles.
*Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work flexibly on a rota basis, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
*Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and monitoring.
