You will be working for a large public sector organisation based in Chorley. As an Occupational Health Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Occupational Health Unit. Working closely with clinicians, managers, and employees, you will deliver efficient, confidential, and customer-focused administration while ensuring records and processes remain accurate, compliant, and organised.
Your new role

Key Responsibilities
*Provide a professional and welcoming service to visitors, employees, and callers, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
*Manage clinical diaries, including booking, amending, and cancelling appointments to maximise efficiency.
*Coordinate Occupational Health referrals and liaise with employees, clinicians, managers, and external agencies as required.
*Support the administration of medical assessments, health screenings, and statutory medicals.
*Maintain accurate electronic and manual records, including scanning, uploading, and preparing case documentation.
*Type clinical reports, correspondence, and documentation to a high standard of accuracy and presentation.
*Assist with note-taking, filing, document preparation, and general administrative duties.
*Monitor stock levels of medical and office supplies and process associated invoices.
*Provide administrative support to the Occupational Health Manager, including activities relating to referrals, reporting, and budget monitoring.
*Support onboarding activities for new starters and return-to-work processes for existing employees.
*Identify opportunities to improve administrative systems and processes.
*Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion, and environmental responsibilities.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will be an experienced administrator who prides themselves on providing first-class service at all times. You will be a self-starter and must be able to work on your own initiative. You will be able to commit to a long-term temporary assignment and must be able to work on site 5 days a week. You will be proficient in using Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to organise and prioritise workload.
