Full job descriptionKey Stage 2 Teaching Assistant - Wellingborough | Immediate StartA welcoming primary school in Wellingborough is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils during an important stage of their education, helping them build confidence, develop key skills and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging learning experiences and provide tailored support where needed.
Key responsibilities:
*Provide classroom support across Key Stage 2 lessons.
*Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions in subjects such as English and Maths.
*Help pupils stay engaged, motivated and focused throughout the school day.
*Encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful learning environment.
*Support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience working with primary-aged children, particularly within Key Stage 2.
*A positive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
*The confidence to use their own initiative while working as part of a team.
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
