Are you an experienced Science Technician looking for your next opportunity in a thriving school environment?
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Science Technician to join a welcoming secondary school in Lambeth on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team within a school that values its staff and offers genuine opportunities for professional growth and career progression.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school or similar setting.
*Strong scientific knowledge and practical laboratory skills.
*A relevant degree (preferred).
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare, set up and clear away equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
*Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure resources are stocked and organised.
*Support teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.
*Assist with the safe storage and disposal of chemicals and biological materials.
*Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the Science department.
