Teaching Assistant - Primary SchoolLocation: Bristol (South)

Pay: £110 per day
Contract Type: Temporary with potential for long-term opportunities
Hours: School hours (ad hoc, part-time and full-time opportunities available)
About the RoleProspero Teaching are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive primary school in Bristol. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a classroom setting.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of lessons, assist pupils with their learning, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities*Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
*Assisting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
*Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning materials
*Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs (SEND/SEMH)
*Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a focused learning environment
*Promoting pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement
*Supporting classroom organisation and daily routines
*Assisting during break times, transitions, and school activities
*Working collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
*Upholding safeguarding, welfare, and child protection procedures at all times
Requirements*Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
*A positive, proactive, and supportive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
*An enhanced DBS on the update service (child workforce), or willingness to apply
*Right to work in the UK
